Break, Enter and Theft

Yesterday, between 9:45 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. a home in the 1100 block of McCalman Avenue was broken into. During this break-in the following firearms were stolen;

22 Calibre semi automatic rifle with scope
12 gauge pump action shot gun
308 bolt action rifle
22 calibre bolt action rifle
Antique “cap & ball” rifle

This incident is currently being investigated by the Winnipeg Police Service District 4 Detectives. Police are asking anyone with information regarding this incident to contact police at 204-986-2857 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS.

Homicide Unit Investigation

The Winnipeg Police Service, Homicide Unit is currently investigating the death of a male that occurred this morning on Arlington Avenue. No further details will be released at this time pending notification of next of kin.

Winnipeg Police Assist in Pursuit

Shortly after 11:00 a.m. Winnipeg Police deployed a tire deflation device (‘stop stick’) at the Perimeter Highway and Portage Avenue. This tire deflation device effectively flattened three tires of a pick up truck that the RCMP had been attempting to stop.

One individual is currently in the custody of the RCMP.
