Fatal Motor Vehicle Collision
At approximately 3:05 a.m. on Sunday February 27th, a 26 year-old-male was driving his 1997 Toyota RAV southbound on King Edward Street at what appears to be a high rate of speed. Apparently the driver lost control and struck the east side curb and the vehicle came to rest on its roof. The driver was ejected from the vehicle through the right side window.
He was conveyed to the hospital and pronounced deceased. He has been identified as Alvin TIBAYAN, 26 years of Ingersoll Street, and his next of kin have been notified. The investigation is continuing however it appears the excessive speed contributed to this collision.
