TWO CHARGED WITH 1ST DEGREE MURDER
On January 7th Trevor (TJ) Wiebe 20 years was reported missing by his family. The police
investigation indicated that the missing person was involved in the illicit drug trade in
Winnipeg.
Further investigation identified two suspects who were involved in his disappearance and
likely murder. Investigators learned that these two suspects had fled Winnipeg and were
in Calgary Alberta. First-degree murder charges were laid against the two suspects and
Canada Wide Warrants were issued. On February 5th members of the Homicide unit traveled
to Calgary and with the assistance of Calgary Police, arrested the two suspects and conveyed
them back to Winnipeg February 7th.
The body of Trevor Wiebe was located in a rural area in the vicinity of St. Agathe MB by
the Winnipeg Police Service. A post mortem examination is pending. The two accused were
detained at the Provincial Remand Centre.
Charged with 1st Degree Murder,

- Anthony Wade PULSIFER 21 yrs of No Fixed Address
FATAL ACCIDENT VICTIM IDENTIFIED
On Sunday morning at 2:30am a 79 year-old-male was travelling northbound on Owen Street
approaching Regent Avenue. He attempted to cross the intersection and was crossing against a
flashing red light when a tow truck struck him, which was eastbound on Regent with a flashing
yellow light.
The victim was driving a 1995 Buick, which was pushed up against the centre divider. The
lone driver, later identified as John Nixon 79 yrs of Bromtom St. was conveyed to the
Concordia Hospital and was later pronounced deceased as result of his injuries. The
accident is currently under investigation by the Winnipeg Police Service.
VIOLENT HOME INVADER ARRESTED
On January 25th a violent male forced his way in and confronted Marion and Walter Tomchuck
in their Vista Drive home. While inside, he viciously assaulted them and stole cash and
some personal items.
The police investigation indicated that this same suspect was responsible for a number of
similar offences that took place on Byng Place, two victims at 360 Cumberland and one on
Parkville Street.
The investigators got close to arresting the suspect last week on February 6th when the
he was seen at the University of Winnipeg. At that location, he stole some credit cards
from a purse, which he used several times prior to being arrested. The suspect was arrested
late Friday night at 480 Young St. and was detained in custody.
Arrested: Ken Garry Daniels 25 yrs of No Fixed Address.
Charged: Robbery (x5), Break and Enter, Theft Under, Forgery, Fraud Use of Credit
Card and Robbery with a firearm.
PERSISTENT DOMO ROBBER ARRESTED
On Saturday February 8th at around 5:00pm a 33 year-old-male armed with a knife confronted
and robbed a 30 year-old attendant at the Domo Gas Bar 1401 Portage Ave. A customer at a
nearby coffee shop witnessed this robbery and pursued the suspect as he fled. With the use
of his cell phone he managed to direct police to the exact location the suspect was
hiding.
Police arrested the suspect and the following investigation resulted in his being charged
with four other robberies at this same location dating back to March 1st 2002.
Charged
with Robbery (x5) is Daniel Conan PETERSON 23 years of no fixed address.
