Winnipeg Police Service

Minimum Qualifications

  • 18 years of age.
  • Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident (Landed Immigrant).
  • No criminal record.
  • Be of good character.
  • Successfully pass a background check conducted by the Winnipeg Police Service.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly in English. This includes both orally and in writing.
  • Must have a genuine interest in helping both the community and Winnipeg Police Service.
  • Must be able to volunteer a minimum of four (4) hours per week and commit to a minimum of one (1) year.
  • Must be available for scheduled mandatory training which may involve some weekend and evenings.
