About the Unit
The Winnipeg Police Service Mounted Patrol Unit is based out of the Community Relations Unit #27, located at 300-211 Bannatyne Avenue, PO Box 1680, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3C 2Z7.
Mission Statement
Enhance community confidence and approachability through public interaction with the utilization of horses.
Provide police response and resources on horseback.
Encourage and support public activities and events throughout the City of Winnipeg.
Provide unit members with training and education to help foster and preserve the traditions pertaining to the horse and the equine industry.
