Manitoba Association of Chiefs of Police will host the Provincial Police and Peace Officers Memorial Service, on Sunday, September 27th Ton the South Grounds of the Manitoba Lesgislature.

This Service coincides with the Annual Canadian Police and Peace Officer Memorial Service to be held in Ottawa on this same date.

On September 24, 1998 the Government of Canada proclaimed the last Sunday in September of every year as the Police and Peace Officers’ National Memorial Day.

The Proclamation was made to give Canadians an opportunity to formally express appreciation for the dedication of police and peace officers who make the ultimate, tragic sacrifice to keep our communities safe.
