WPS Members Raise Funds for Fallen RCMP Officers Through Sale of Wristbands

WPS Raise Funds for Fallen Officers Through sale of WristbandsTragically, on June 4, three members of the Moncton RCMP were shot and killed in the line of duty.

In support of the families of the fallen officers, Winnipeg Police Service members teamed up with radio station Hot 103 to host a fundraising social during which more than $25,000 was raised.

Building on that effort, members are now selling memorial wristbands for $5 each.

Inscribed with the words: “United for our fallen Codiacs”, they are available to the public at any Winnipeg Police Service Station.

While no amount of money can return these officers to their families, they will know they are not alone and that their grief is felt across the country.

Winnipeggers are known Canada-wide for their generosity, so please show your support and let Moncton know we are in this together

You can also make a donation online.

On behalf of the families of Cst. Fabrice George Gevaudan, Cst. Dave Ross, and Cst. Douglas James Larche, the RCMP Foundation has set up the Moncton Fallen RCMP Members Fund in their memory.
