Kiwanis Seek Nominations for 2014 TOP COP Award

Kiwanis Seek Nominations for 2014 TOP COP Award

Whether it is organized sports for our children and youth, arts and cultural programs, or drop-ins for seniors, our community cannot survive without our city's volunteers. Winnipeg volunteers are the backbone of a vast number of organizations in our community adding to our quality of life.

The Kiwanis Club of Winnipeg Inc. has partnered with The Winnipeg Police Association, The Winnipeg Police Service and local businesses to honour the men and women of our police force. We would like to recognize individuals who go above and beyond their duties by serving in their community. This is where we need your help!

Officers can be nominated by organizations, community members, peers and family members for their outstanding services. Finalists will be chosen by a select committee of local law enforcement representatives, local businesses and community leaders. To nominate your 2014 TOP COP please complete a nomination form and submit it to The Kiwanis Club of Winnipeg by June 30, 2014.

Winnipeg's Next TOP COP Community Volunteer Awards & Gala will be held on November 14, 2014, where we will be celebrating and paying tribute to Winnipeg’s TOP COP Volunteer at the Fairmont Winnipeg Hotel. The evening will include dinner, dancing, live and silent auctions, a special video presentations/awards and sightings from local celebrities. Proceeds from the event will directly benefit local charities including supporting The Boys and Girls Clubs of Winnipeg; other beneficiaries will be the candidate’s community organizations of choice.

We are reaching out to all of our local communities to help show support for this event by hanging the event poster on their community boards for the public to see.
