Check on Stolen Property
The Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC) maintains a searchable database of stolen vehicles and property. If you think your property has been stolen, click this link to search the database of stolen items.
From here, click on Search in the left column. Then, you can search:
- Vehicles by VIN (Vehicle Identification Number). “Vehicles” include cars and trucks, motorcycles, snowmobiles, farm equipment, etc.
- Licence plates
- Bicycles
If your search indicates the item is stolen, you must confirm this information with the police. If no records are found, the item is not on file and not reported stolen.
Vehicle records in this database are updated every day; property files are updated every Tuesday.
