Aboriginal Advisory Committee

Mission Statement
To provide strategic advice to enhance the relationship between the Aboriginal Community and the Winnipeg Police Service.

Winnipeg Police Service TeepeeObjectives

  • Providing timely advice on current and emerging issues to the Chief of Police.
  • Advise the Winnipeg Police Service on public education strategies to ensure appropriate cultural content.
  • Advise the Winnipeg Police Service on internal education strategies to ensure appropriate cultural content.
  • Advise on communication/education strategies between the Winnipeg Police Service and the Aboriginal Community.

Members

The Aboriginal Advisory Committee is a representation of the community, and any interested parties are encouraged to apply for openings as they arise.
