On June 29th 2010 at about 4:30 A.M., a lone male entered a convenience store located in the 500 block of Keenleyside Street. The male is described as native, mid 20’s, 5’10”, 200 lbs. with a 4 inch scar on his right cheek. The suspect was wearing a black baseball cap with a white logo on the front. The culprit, who was armed with a knife, made off with cash and cigarettes.

On June 25th 2010 at approximately 5:00 A.M., three males and a female robbed a convenience store located in the 500 block of KeenleySide. Shortly after the robbery, some of the suspects got into a cab. Two of the suspects are depicted in the photos, where they can be seen sitting in the rear of the cab. The culprits stole money and cigarettes during the robbery.

On June 15th 2010 shortly before five o’clock in the morning, a lone male robbed a convenience store located in the 3000 block of Ness Avenue. The male who was armed with a knife is described as being in his twenties, native in appearance, 5’7” with a medium heavy build. The suspect stole money and cigarettes before fleeing on foot.

On April 23rd at approximately 8:30 p.m., a white male described as 5’8”, average build, in his twenties armed himself with a knife and robbed a pet store located in the 900 block of Henderson Hwy. The robber was wearing black baggy pant, a white top, a white ball cap and had some fresh injury to his face including a black left eye. The culprit robbed the store of their cash before fleeing on foot.

On March 11th 2010 at 7:45 p.m., two males entered a gas bar located in the 1400 block of Portage Avenue. One of the thieves did not cover his face and was caught on tape. He is described as mid 20’s, 6 foot tall with a larger build. This male was armed with a knife and robbed the money from the till

On January 16th 2010 shortly before 6:00 a.m., two females and a male robbed a donut shop located in the 1800 block of Ness Avenue. All three were described as native in appearance. The two females involved are depicted in the photo captured by a surveillance camera. After stealing money from the store all three made good their escape in a vehicle.

On January 1st 2010 at approximately 5:30 in the morning, a lone male described as 5’11”, bigger build, brown hair and eyes with a darker complexion entered a gas station located in the 1200 block of Grant Avenue. The suspect was armed with a multi tool knife and robbed the store of cash and cigarettes. At the time, he was wearing a tan jacket and black sweat pants with what appears to be orange birds on them.

On December 24th 2009 at approximately three o’clock in the morning, a lone male described as native in appearance, mid-twenties, 5’8” entered a convenience store located in the 800 block of Arlington St.. The suspect was armed with a knife and attempted to rob the store of cigarettes before fleeing the scene in a grey coloured van.

On November 20th 2008 at approximately 20:30 PM, three males robbed a gas bar located in the 700 block of Watt St.. One of the males was armed with a metal bar. The male depicted in the photo is one of the suspects and is described as late teens to early twenties, darker complexion, approximately 5’8” and about 150 lbs. The suspects stole money and cigarettes before making good their escape.

On April 7th 2009, a financial institution located in the 200 block of Portage avenue was robbed just before 3:00 p.m.. The suspect was armed with a 12 inch butcher knife and is described as a white male, 5’10”, large build, short hair with a goatee and wearing glasses. The suspect received a sum of cash and made good his escape.

On November 30th 2009, just before noon, a male described as native in appearance, about 20 years old and 5’10” attended to a beer vendor located in the 800 block of Regent Avenue. The suspect was armed with a 10 inch knife and robbed the vendor of a 15 can package of Labatt Blue beer.

On December 5th 2009 shortly before 6:00 p.m., a lone male entered a store located in the 1600 block of St. Marys Rd.. The male suspect depicted in the photo is said to have some type of purple blemishes on his face. Money was obtained at which point the robber made good his escape.

On December 12th 2009 at approximately 6:30 a.m., a native male appearing to be in his mid twenties and 5’10” tall entered a convenience store located in the 600 block of Ellice Avenue. The suspect was armed with a metal bar and robbed the store of money and cigarettes.

On December 4, 2009 at approximately 9:00 am, two males attended a gas station in the 2100 block of Corydon Avenue. While armed with a knife, one of the suspects confronted the clerk, demanded money and attempted to stab the clerk. The suspects obtained cash and fled the store.

One of the suspects is described as: white male, 5’11”-6’0”, wearing a dark hoody.

The suspect was described as: native female, 40s, 5’5”, small build, wearing a black hoody, black scarf, black toque and sunglasses.

On November 13, 2009 at approximately 4:30 pm, a lone male entered a financial institution located in the 300 block of Portage Avenue. Once inside, the suspect approached a teller, produced a canvass bag and demanded cash while threatening violence. The suspect obtained cash and fled the bank.

The suspect was described as: male, 5’10”-6’, thin build, wearing a toque, neck warmer, black jacket and sunglasses.

On October 5, 2009 at approximately 10:00 am, a lone male entered a financial institution located in the 900 block of Henderson Hwy. and approached a teller and demanded money. The teller was threatened with violence. The suspect obtained cash and fled the scene.

He was described as: male, 6’0”, 18-25 yrs, medium build, wearing a black hoody with white designs, a black ball DC ball cap, black pants, sunglasses and had a small bandage on his face.

Noon hour on November 27th 2007, a fast cash store on Main Street was targeted by 2 male robbers both carrying knives. They approached a female employee and advised her to move to the cash cabinet. One male removed an undisclosed amount of cash, while the second suspect searched through a desk. Both then exited the store running westbound across Main St.

The first male was a Native male, mid 20’s 5’9” with a thin build. We wore a red/white park, jeans and a baseball cap. The parka hood was up. The second male was Native, also mid 20’s with a stockier build. Shorter than the other at 5’7”. He wore a brown/beige sweater with # on the chest, (poss. 10)

Just before 4:00 a.m., December 10th 2007, a lone male attended the Fort Rouge gas bar on Pembina Hwy. He pulled out a knife while demanding cigarettes and cash. The employee complied with the request and he made off with an undisclosed quantity. The clerk was not injured.

The suspect was a white male, mid 20’s, a medium build. He was wearing a black toque, blue and gray jacket, jeans and black gloves. His face was partially covered.

Around 5:30 p.m., on February 24, 2009, a lone male approached the kiosk of an Ellice Ave gas bar. He demanded money and cigarettes from the clerk, who initially refused. The male produced a large knife, and the employee complied. Cash and cigarettes were placed into a bag and the suspect fled.

He is described as a white male in his late teens, 5’6” and skinny build. Eyes were bloodshot. He wore a blue baseball cap, black and blue bandana, blue jean jacket and lighter blue jeans.

Just before 10:00 a.m., January 24th 2008, a lone male entered the kiosk of a local East Kildonan gas bar on Watt St. The male demanded all the money and the request was complied with.

The suspect was a Native male, 5'5" tall husky build, with short dark hair. He wore a blue winter jacklet with "CANADA" on the front in white letters and a gray hoodie with the hood up.

Approx. 0300 a.m., March 20th 2009, a taxi cab picked up 3 males on Brazier St. They were taken to Henderson and Talbot where they exited. One openned the drivers door, produced a knife and threatened the driver. He demanded and was handed cash and keys to the taxi.

All suspects were Native, in their 20’s and medium to heavy build. Suspect from the rear seat produced the knife.

Just after 0300 am on March 3rd 2009, a convenience store on Keelyside St was targeted by an unruly thief. He confronted the female clerk and requested several items. He placed them into a box, then got verbal with the employee, demanding cigarettes. Fearful, the clerk complied. The suspect threatenned to “kill” the employee, but no weapons were exposed.

The suspect was a Native male, 5’8’ tall, late 20’s to early 30’s. He was wearing a black jacket, white hoodie, and blue jeans.

Around midnight on January 24th 2009, a taxi picked up 2 males at the bar on Marion and Archibald. When they reached their requested destination…160 block of Hargrave St., both fares refused to pay. As they exited the cab, one assaulted the driver, and stole his phone and glasses.

Both suspects were white, first being 5’8” medium build. Wearing a off white T shirt and dark pants and had a pierced eyebrow. Second male was taller, 6’ with short dark hair, black shirt and pants.

On the evening of March 13th 2009, a Lilac Ave grocery store was targeted by two thieves, one armed with a handgun. The female clerk was confronted and instructed to open the till. After complying, the thugs scooped up an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the store.

Both suspects are described as possibly Native, 5’6” to 5’8” tall. One wearing a black hoodie, black baseball cap and a black balaclava. The second suspect wore a black/white checkered type hoodie, black bandana black pants and white runners. This male held the handgun.

On January 17th 2009, two males entered a convenience store in the 800 block of Arlington St.. The employee was punched in the face by one suspect, while the second male filled his pockets with cigarettes. The cash drawer was then opened and stolen with contents.

Both males were approximately 30 years old, native in appearance, 5’7” tall. One has a graying moustache, wearing yellow gloves , black pants and a black toque. Both wore black-dark gray winter jackets and white shoes.

On February 7th 2009, two males and a female all entered a convenience store in the Osborne Village area. The suspects showed the clerk a knife, and then collected up goods from the store. They left on foot.

All suspects were late teens to early 20’s, the female being thin , 5’4” tall with long black hair in a pony tail. The two males were average height and build.

At 04:45 am January 17th 2009, 2 males jumped the clerk of a convenience store on Arlington Street. One subject punched him in the face, while the second male filled his pockets with cigarettes. The puncher then managed to open the cash register and made off with the cash drawer.

Both suspects were native males. #1 was  30-35 yrs, medium build , gray moustache wearing yellow gloves, a gray-black jacket, a black toque, black pants and white shoes. #2 was 30-35 yrs as well, skinny, wearing a black jacket w/fur on hood, black pants and white shoes.

At 5:00 am, August 18th 2008, a group of thugs muscled in on a convenience store in River Heights on Corydon. 5 in total, 4 males and a female swarmed the counter telling employees to hit the floor. A knife and a machete were the weapons displayed. Cash, cigarettes and lottery tickets were thrown into a bag and the gang fled out the front door.

All thugs appeared Native, and concealed their faces. Of interest is the unique tattoo on the left forearm of one suspect.

An all night gas bar in the 900 block of Henderson Hwy was the target of 2 thieves in the early hours of February 26th 2006. The two suspects pretended to buy cigarettes, then one pulled out a hunting knife and demanded money. The second male produced a handgun. Cash and smokes were handed over and the two fled in a red 1980’s style mini-van.

The first male (knife) was white, late teens to early 20’s, 5’4” clean shaven wearing a hoodie  and sunglasses.

The second male (handgun) was also white, 6’, same age as #1 wearing a black toque and sunglasses.

In the early morning hours of June 22nd 2008, a lone Native female attended the convenience store in the 500 block of William Avenue. She walked up to the counter and passed a note stating she was armed with a knife and demanded cash. When employees confronted her, she fled on foot obtaining nothing.

The suspect is was described as 40-45 year of age,5’4” to 5’6” with black hair and a pointed nose.

Shortly after 11:00 pm, December 12th 2008, a Pembina Highway hotel was robbed by a knife toting male. The suspect was in the bar area prior to the robbery, apparently casing the surroundings. He approached an employee and demanded cash, which was surrendered after he produced a large knife.

The male is native, 30 yrs., 6’ 200 lbs., short dark hair, medium build. He had a thin face with acne. He was wearing a black shirt, brown and green plaid wool jacket and a black toque.

Shortly after 5:00 am, November 28th 2008, a Regent Avenue convenience store was targeted by 2 thugs. They entered the store and proceeded immediately behind the counter. One produced a knife, demanding the employee empty all the cash registers. One threatened to kill the clerk if she did not comply. They made off with cigarettes and cash, in a garbage bag.

Both suspects were Native males, 18-25 yrs of age, slim build. The suspect with the knife wore a white baseball cap, red/gray plaid shirt over a red striped shirt and jeans. #2 wore blue hoodie over a gray hoodie and jeans.

Around 3:30 am on July 16th 2008, two males attended the gas bar at the Norwood Bridge. On entering the building, one male approached the employee and stated,
“GIMMEE YOUR STUFF” No weapons were produced, and the employee stood up to the males, pushing them out the door. Stunned, they lingered a moment, and were last seen headed toward the St.Boniface Hospital, empty handed.

The first male was native, 6’, 200 lbs, early 20’s wearing a red shirt and black pants. He was carrying pepper spray. Male #2 was also native, 5’10”, 20’s wearing a white T shirt, black pants and a white bandana over his face.

Just before 9:00 pm on December 11th 2008, a 24 hr gas and convenience store at the Norwood Bridge was robbed. A lone male selected a drink from an outdoor cooler and then approached the female employee. He asked for some cigarettes, and then came behind the counter and produced a knife. He obtained cigarettes and cash and made good his escape.

The male is described as Native, 5’7” to 5’8”. He was wearing jeans, running shoes and a yellow pullover with a red scarf partially covering his chin/face.

At approximately 8:15 p.m., on November 15th 2008, a lone male entered the Subway Restaurant on Notre Dame Ave. He ordered a sandwich and then produced a steak knife. He passed a note to the employee demanding cash from the til. An undisclosed amount was handed over and he fled the store.

He is described as Aboriginal, 5’10” in height and having a muscular build.

On October 26th 2008, at approximately 2:00 a.m., a male entered a convenience store in the 200 block of St.Marys’ Road. Inside, be brannished  a large butcher knife, threatening the employees. He proceeded behind the counter and gathered up cash and cigarettes, placed them into plastic bags, and fled the store.

He is described as a white male, in his 30’s, 5’7” to 5’8” tall.

He was described as 35 to 40 years of age, 5’9” to 5’11”.

In the evening hours of September 11th 2008, a lone male entered the Mega Wraps  sandwich shop on St James Street. He placed an order, than produced a note to the clerk, stating to hand over the cash or he would stab her. An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen and he exited the store.

He was described as Aboriginal, 30 years of age, 5’5” top 5’7” in height and had a chubby face.

On October 8th 2008, in the early evening hours, a lone male attended a gas station in the 1200 block of Portage Avenue. He had no conversation with the employee, but passed a note indicating he was armed with a gun, and demanded money. He fled on foot without obtaining anything. No weapon was seen.

This male was Aboriginal and approx. 18 years of age. He was wearing a light colored “hoodie” sweatshirt and wore prescription glasses.

This male was described as a white male in his late teens, clean shaven with facial acne. He was wearing a dark hoodie sweatshirt and a baseball cap.

This male was described as in his 30’s, 5’8” tall with a chubby build. He was wearing a blue hoodie possibly with a number on the right side of the front.

After midnight on July 27th, 2008, a convenience store on Talbot Ave  was robbed by a lone male. The suspect approached the employee and demanded money. There was only a $5 bill in the till, and the suspect threw the till onto the floor. He then picked up tobacco products and left.

The suspect is a native male, 17 yrs., 130 lbs, 5’8” tall. He had dark short black hair, brown eyes and a dark complexion.. Wearing a red bandana on his face, red MECCA shirt with a white T shirt under it, tan shorts with black socks and white runners.

Shortly after 2:00 a.m., on August 12th, 2008, a south St Vital convenience store was the scene of a robbery. A male pried open the locked front doors with a bar, then was joined by 3 other males and a female, one armed with a machete.They ordered the clerk to the floor and loaded items into garbage bags.

All suspects were 19-20 yrs of age, average height of 5’7”- 5’9”. They a ll wore either black or white hoodies, and covered their faces.  This suspect has a bklue bandana on his face and white trim on the hoodie.

Around 3:30 a.m., on July 16th, 2008, a Goulet Ave  gas bar. The attendant was approached by 2 males, who demanded he turn over “cash and stuff”. When the clerk declined, he pushed them out of the door and locked it, setting off the alarm. Upset, one suspect sprayed bear mace into the store through the doors, before leaving the area.

The two males were described as native, first one being about 6’ and 200 lbs., early 20’s wearing a red T shirt and black pants. He wore a white bandana over his face and used the mace. Second male was native, 5’10”, also early 20’s wearing a white T shirt, black pants and a white bandana over his face.

After midnight on August 24th, 2008, a trio of 2 guys and a girl attended a convenience store on Marion St. One male punched the clerk and forced him to the floor, while the female pried open the register, and the other male bagged cigarettes.

A brazen early morning robbery left an employee of a gas bar stabbed, and an undisclosed amount of cash missing. 2 thugs entered the store, pushed their way behind the counter. One thug grabbed the employee in a head-lock and demanded money.

Both suspects were Aboriginal in appearance,  18 yrs., thin build and wore black jackets with a form of black material covering part of their faces. One had black jeans, one blue, and one carried the knife.

Mid afternoon on March 13, 2008, was the time selected to hold up a gas bar on Watt St. The robber approached the clerk on the premise of buying cigarettes. Once inside the kiosk, he then demanded money. When the employee stood up to him and refused, the suspect decided to flee for his own safety, and did so empty-handed.

This male was white, mid 20’s, 5’5” with a slim build. He had a small blonde beard on his chin. He wore a dark hoodie under a puffy black jacket, with the hood up, dark track pants and dark grey framed sunglasses.

Just after 10:00 p.m., March 23 2008, a sandwich store on Notre Dame Ave was targeted for a hold-up. A lone male entered the store and approached the lone employee, brannishing a tire iron type crowbar. He demanded money, and then followed up with,”I’m not kidding.” After being handed an undisclosed amount, he simply walked out of the store.

The male suspect was a white male, mid 30’s to early 40’s, 5’6”, medium build with a thick blonde goatee. He spoke with a deep voice. Wearing a dark colored hoodie with the hood up, dark pants and brown shoes/boots. He wore sunglasses.

Approximately 1:40a.m., June 12 2007, a 24 hour convenience store in the Maples was robbed by a lone male. Initially asking to check a lottery ticket, he walked around the counter and demanded the employee open the register. He scooped up cash and change, and briskly exited the store. His hand in his pocket the whole time. No weapon was seen.

The suspect is a male, 5’9” to 6’2”, medium build , 20 – 25 years and Aboriginal in appearance. He was wearing a brown baseball cap, brown shirt and white shorts.

On November 1st, 2007, around 2:00 a.m., a convenience store on Portage Avenue was held up by a lone male. He approached the employee, demanded money and went behind the counter. He grabbed bills from the drawer and then cartons of cigarettes. No weapon was seen and there were no injuries.

The suspect is a white male, 5’10” and thin, 160 lbs., medium build and clean shaven. He wore a black “puffy” jacket and a dark hoodie, brown pants, white runners and a black baseball hat w/red-white logo.

RobberyOn January 12th, 2008, at 10:45 p.m., a gas station and convenience store on Nairn Ave was robbed by 2 male suspects. One approached the til carrying a handgun, demanded cash and cigarettes. Undisclosed amounts were handed over and the duo fled the store.

The male with the handgun was described as 6’, medium build, a prominent nose, wearing a black parka with fur lined hood, blue jeans and white runners.

The other male remained at the doorway, was  shorter, 5’5”,  a full blue “snow-suit”, white fur around the collar, black balaclava and white runners.

On April 25th, 2008 just after 4:00 p.m., a downtown hotel was robbed . The lone male approached the til and requested change. When the cash register opened, he lunged forward throwing the employee down, grabbed the cash and ran.

The suspect was Aboriginal in appearance, early 20’s, 5’10” with a medium build. He had black hair, in a pony tail down the back to the waistline, moustache and goatee. Wearing a brown shirt, blue jeans white runners and a black baseball cap with writing.

On March 23rd, 2008 just before midnight, a local gas station attendant was approached by a lone male. Inside the store, he demanded money and cigarettes. The employee confronted this male and forcibly removed him from the building. An altercation followed and the suspect pulled out a large butcher knife, then fled empty-handed.

The suspect is a white male, mid 20’s, around 6’ and 180 lbs. with a muscular build. He had short black hair with stubble on his face. He was wearing a black coat, red sweater with high collar, baggy jeans and black gloves.

On March 15 2006, at 2:00 a.m., a 24 hour gas bar on McPhillips was the target of a robbery. 2 males entered the premises and ordered the female clerk onto the ground. They then came around the counter and one went for the cash, one for cigarettes. Minutes later, they exited into a waiting taxi cab with undisclosed amounts of cash and smokes. No weapon was seen.

Both were Aboriginal in appearance, 20-25 years and heavy set (chubby). One had collar length wavey hair, a dark cloth jacket, dark pants and a black baseball cap. He carried sunglasses in his hand. The second had shaggy collar length hair and a dark cloth jacket.

In the early morning hours of August 28, 2006, a convenience store on Mountain Ave was held up. A lone male entered the store armed with a 6” serrated knife. With his face semi covered, he approached the counter and demanded money and cigarettes. He also threatened to kill the employee, if they called police. He made off with a garbage bag of cash and smokes.

He was described as possibly Philipino,  40’s, 5’5” tall with short dark hair. Wearing a dark jacket and track pants with white stripe and white runners.

Just before 9:00 p.m., on June 16 2006, a lone male approached the check-out counter of a chain department store on Keewatin St. Placing a few items on the counter, he demanded cash and threatened to “shoot”. Lifting his jacket revealed the barrel of a gun. An undisclosed amount of cash was placed into a bag and the culprit exited the store.

He was described as approx 33 yrs., 5’7” and 150 lbs. unshaven with 2-3 weeks beard growth. Dark complexion, possibly Metis in appearance. Wearing gray T shirt, black baseball cap, black nylon jacket and carrying black fleece.

On February 14, 2006, around 4:00 a.m., 3 males stormed a convenience store on Mountain Ave. The first male was waving a long serrated “bread type” knife, and confronted the employees. 2 other suspects helped themselves to cash and cigarettes before fleeing. The knife was dropped during the exit. No injuries were reported and the stolen property remains undisclosed.

The knife wielding suspect was 6’ 200 lbs., wearing blue hoodie, dark parka, no gloves and tattoos on the knuckles.  Second male was taller, 6’2”,  moustache-goatee, sun glasses and dark green jacket . Third male was 5’11” and slim. One male was referred to as “Jules”.

A convenience store on Osborne St was the scene of a robbery shortly after 1:00 a.m., March 29, 2007. A confused male confronted the employee in a crazed state. He threw a wallet onto the counter which later proved empty. Demanding cigarettes…then cartoons, which were placed into a plastic bag. The male grabbed the bag and left the store.

This male was white, 40-45 yrs., short light colored hair and clean shaven but scruffy in appearance. Tall in stature 6’1” to 6’3” on the slim side, possibly an addict. Wearing a green jacket, beige baseball hat, dark sweatsuit .

No weapons were seen.

Just before midnight on April 29th, 2007, a male stormed a core area convenience store, holding a “steak type” knife in his hand. He approached employees and demanded cash and cigarettes. He was persistent in demanding both registers be opened. Staff complied handing over an undisclosed quantity. All were placed into a plastic bag and the thug exited.

The robber is described as native in appearance, 30’s with long black hair in a pony tail. Tall, over 5’8” and 200 lbs. He had a pock-marked face, and was wearing a gray or black jacket, jeans and white runners.

On December 3rd 2007, around 8:00 p.m., a male approached the employee of a Watt Street gas bar. He requested cigarettes and then followed the clerk inside when he went to retrieve them. Armed with a pocket knife, he demanded and received cash and cigarettes. These were placed into a black plastic bag, while the thug pointed the knife at the clerk.

The male was white, thin build and approx. 5’6”. He may have had facial hair, and was  wearing a black parka w/hood, baggy jeans and sneakers.

On January 1st 2008 just around 2:30 p.m., a male entered the sandwich restaurant on King Edward St., armed with a hunting knife and a baton. He confronts the employee and a struggle ensues. He is struck with the baton and hands over an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is a white male, mid 20’s, 5’8” to 5’9” with a medium build. Wearing a black parka with hood, black pants , white shores and a black scarf over his mouth.

On January 10th 2008 just before 11:00 p.m., two thugs entered the building of a gas station on Nairn Ave. One stayed at the door while the other approached the employee, and placed a black hand gun on the counter. He demanded, and was given, money and cigarettes.Both made off on foot, with undisclosed amounts of cash and smokes.

The suspect with the handgun was white, 6’, medium build with a “prominent nose”. Wearing a black jacket with fur trim, black gloves and toque, jeans  white runners.

On October 15th 2007 at midnight, two males attended the 24 hr convenience store on Ness Ave. , one armed with a metal bar. The employee was pushed behind the counter and ordered to open the til. This male grabbed cash out of the drawer while the second male pulled lottery tickets out of the display. Both made off on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

The first male was Aboriginal in appearance, early 20’s 5’8”, stocky with long black hair. He was wearing a white T shirt, black hoodie, blue jeans and black shoes. Carried the bar.

The second suspect was white, 20’s and 6’ tall. Medium build with a full moustache and several days beard growth. He wore a blue hoodie, blue track pants, white runners and talked on a cell phone.

On January 28th 2008, just before 1:00 a.m., a lone male attended the convenience store on Keewatin St. In the proceeding half hour, he requested to use the phone several times. He then passed a threatening note to the clerk demanding money. The first employee declined, but the second opened the cash drawer. The suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of cash. No weapon was seen.

The suspect was aboriginal in appearance, 30-35 yrs, 5’5” to 5’8” and 180-190 lbs. He had short dark hair and a goatee. He was wearing a grey hoodie and sweat pants with  white runners.

On July 31st 2006, an all-night gas bar was targeted by two thugs. Around 2:20 a.m., the first suspect asked the clerk for cigarettes, then pulled out a 12” knife. He threatened the clerk and a customer, and pushed them into a storage room, with the help of the second suspect.

The duo stole cash and cigarettes.

Both suspects were Aboriginal in appearance, early 20’s, 150 lbs., wearing white T shirts. The first suspect is described as 5’10” wearing a white hat and beige pants. The second suspect was shorter, 5’8”, with short black hair and acne scars.

Just after 8:00 p.m., July 30th, 2007, a Waverley Street  sandwich shop was robbed by a lone male. He requested 2 sandwiches, and then threatened the employee with a knife, however none was seen. He scooped up an undisclosed amount of cash from the til and fled.

The suspect is a male, dark complexion, 25-30 yrs., 6 ft tall, slim, 160 lbs., black hair and clean shaven. He wore a blue “polo” shirt, khaki shorts and a Vancouver Canucks ball cap.

Around 2:40 a.m., a St.James gas bar was held up by a lone male. He threatened the attendant with a knife, and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes.

The male is described as white, late 20’s to early 30’s, slim in stature and 150 lbs. He has short, light colored hair and a cropped goatee. He also had big teeth. He was wearing a black/gray parka with a black hood and jeans.

He carried a kitchen “steak” knife with a serrated blade.

At suppertime on St.Patricks’ Day, March 17th, 2007,  a Logan Avenue food store was held up by a violent male. He approached  the female clerk, pointing a knife towards her chest in a threatening manner, demanding money. He came behind the counter and the clerk fled. The suspect grabbed several packages of cigarettes and fled the store.

He was described as a native male, 20 yrs., a short 5’5”, skinny and unshaven. He was wearing a black hoodie with the hood up, gray pants and black/white runners.

He was carrying a dark handled knife with a large 10 inch blade.

On January 5th, 2007, an all night convenience store was robbed at knife-point. A lone male approached the store and was allowed in by the employee. Once inside, he went directly to the cash register and demanded cash and cigarettes. He received an undisclosed amount, and fled without further incident.

He was described as a native male about 25 yrs., 5’6” with a medium build, and a small goatee on the chin. He was wearing a red hoodie with dark arm stripes. (possibly EXCO) and a toque. 

He carried a black handled “butcher” type knife with 6”-8” blade.

A large machete was the weapon of choice in an armed robbery that occurred just before 6:30 a.m., on Friday, March 30th, 2007.
A lone male suspect approached the front counter at a downtown hotel, and requested change for a bill he presented. When the register was opened, he presented the machete and demanded its contents. He made off with an undisclosed amount.

He is described as a white male, in his 20’s, 6’ with a medium build. Wearing a black jacket with gray side panels, red T shirt, black pants and white runners.

At 3:00 a.m. on the 4th January 2007, this inner city convenience store was held up by a lone male. He approached the employee at the front counter, holding a hunting type knife. He demanded cigarettes and placed them into his pockets.

He then requested the till be opened, and grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash. With pockets full, the suspect fled the store.

He is described as a short, Caucasian male in his late teens.

A north end convenience store on Mountain Ave., was the target of a robbery on February 3rd, 2007. At approximately 8:00 a.m., a lone male approached the employee. He pulled out a knife and demanded they put the cash into a bag. He also grabbed several packages of cigarettes.

The suspect was dressed for the cold, and appears to be in his 30’s.
