Change in PDF File Format

SEPTEMBER 15, 2003 - A newer Adobe Acrobat file version is being used for all Bid Opportunity documents and the Standard Construction Specifications.

The Materials Management section of the City's Web Site now requires document down loaders/viewers to use Adobe (Acrobat) Reader version 5 or newer. This is a result of a recent upgrade process to provide faster document opening and improved security. Unfortunately, you will no longer be able to use Adobe (Acrobat) Reader version 4 or earlier to view/download our documents.

Adobe does make the latest version of the Reader available at no cost on their web site. When on their site, click on the button: Get Adobe Reader and follow the prompts to download/install Adobe Reader version 6. Please note that some corporations lock down their computers to prohibit this type of installation so you will need to advise your corporate IT support area to do this for you.

We apologize for any inconvenience the need to upgrade may cause you. We are constantly trying to enhance the performance of our site to minimize delays that you may experience. Hopefully, the end result will better meet your needs. If you have any questions or concerns you may contact the Materials Management Division by email.
