Unfortunately, not many of our past documents are of a type to post to the Internet. As a result, you will be able to access past award information but not the associated documents. As noted in our Bid Opportunity News Item we are starting a process of distributing Bid Opportunity documents on-line. This means that these documents will be available through this newly designed web page even after closing for your easy access and reference.

This new page looks very similar to the Bid Opportunity web page where the items are sorted by closing date. Although we have not yet built a special search tool, visitors can use their Internet browsers “find” feature to search for Bid Opportunity numbers or keywords. A Bid Opportunity may have a sub heading “Documents” if there are viewable documents. It then will have a hypertext link beside it saying, “Click here to download”. Once clicked the hypertext link will open a page with all documents related to the Bid Opportunity. All documents posted will be in the industry standard Adobe Acrobat PDF format.

If the Bid Opportunity had a public opening a heading “Public Opening Results” with an associated hypertext link document name appears. Clicking on the link will open a PDF document containing the information read out at the public opening. These results are preliminary pending review and verification of conformance with the requirements of the applicable Bid Opportunity package. They are posted by 2:00 pm Central Time of the closing date. Once an award has been made, the information of who the successful bidder is and the contract amount will be displayed.

By default, the initial page will only display Bid Opportunities for the current year. However links have been provided to give you access to previous year’s information. Please note that not all the information for the earlier years is available on the system.

We apologize if you feel our pages lack pizzazz. We have started in a simple, non-sophisticated yet functional way to meet the basic needs. As said before, this process is evolving over time and as such we look forward to your comments and input.
