Olympic Torch Relay Community Celebration
Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at The Forks Market
5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
The torch is expected to arrive at approximately 4:30 p.m. on January 5 at the Ed Golding Memorial Arena (517 Pandora Avenue East). It will make its way through Transcona, Elmwood, St. Boniface and Downtown before ending up at The Forks at around 7:00 p.m. for the Olympic Torch Relay Community Celebration.
The torch will be leaving the city on Thursday, January 7, enroute to its final destination in Vancouver on February 12. The last leg of the torch relay in Winnipeg will start at Minto Armouries (969 St. Matthews Avenue) on January 7 at around 8:00 a.m. and end up at the Royal Bank of Canada (3297 Portage Avenue).

The City of Winnipeg is proud to host the Olympic flame as it travels across the country.
The Celebration includes performances by Tracy Bone, Chic Gamine, Norman Chief Memorial Dancers, Brakada and Doc Walker. Lots of great things to see and do – all concluded by fireworks.
The torchbearer arrives at approximately 7:00 p.m. – come down and cheer on one of our local heroes.
