Requesting the Mayor for An Event
Mayor Katz receives numerous invitations to various events that take place in and around the City of Winnipeg. The Mayor’s Office requires written notice at least two months in advance to consider any request.
All invitations to the Mayor are required in writing and can be sent by mail, fax, or Email. Please include date, time, location, and name of the contact person with a return address and telephone number. Also include details regarding the specific role for the Mayor, for example, if you would like him to speak at your event, take part in a ceremony, etc.
Once your invitation has been viewed by the Mayor, expect a response indicating if he is able to attend. If possible, a member of city council may attend your event on the Mayor’s behalf if requested in the original letter of invitation.
