With participation from the Aboriginal community, training is provided to civic employees to increase awareness, understanding and respect for Aboriginal people. The ultimate goal is to create a workforce that values and respects Aboriginal culture and also assists in attracting, hiring and retaining Aboriginal people, while at the same time, providing municipal employees with tools to provide better service to the Aboriginal community they serve.
