To pursue constant improvement in the quality of service provided to the city's residents and business interests.
Plans are the tangible result of our distinctly human ability to imagine. If we want Winnipeg to have a good future then we must plan. But plans may go awry, and ends may remain unattained without a vision to lead the way. It is through a clear vision that a plan finds its unity and strength. So long as the vision is kept in mind, foresight and wisdom can be brought to decisions.
The sectoral committees conceived this vision to guide leaders as they make decisions affecting the direction of the city. The City of Winnipeg corporation supports the vision. It acknowledges that by focusing on quality of life as their number one priority, the citizens of Winnipeg have expressed their desire for a high level of municipal service. The City is committed to addressing this as its number one priority.
