Step 1 - You must have Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher to use the online application form.

Step 2 - We recommend you disable your popup blocker. Otherwise you may have problems submitting the online application.
In Internet Explorer select Tools >Pop-up Blocker > Turn Off Pop-up Blocker.

Step 3 - Go to www.winnipeg.ca/hr.

Step 4 - Go to Current Openings - Select the job opening for Student Labourer.
Note: if Student Labourer is not listed then we are not accepting applications at this time.

Step 5 - Review the duties and qualifications to determine if this is the job you want.

Step 6 - Write down the job posting number and title.

Step 7 - Select the “online application” link at the bottom of the job opening. The online application form will open in a new window.

Step 8 - Complete the application form. You have the option of viewing and printing the instructions on how to complete the online application form.

Step 9 - Review your application form and make any changes as required.

Step 10 - Select “I Agree” to submit your application form. You will get a message saying your application has been successfully saved.

Step 11 - Wait 24 hours.

Step 12 - Go to City Hall, Human Resources, Main Floor - 510 Main Street Monday to Friday between 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

Step 13 - Complete additional forms.

Step 14 - Have a pre-screening interview.

Step 15 - Wait for us to contact you regarding the next step in the hiring process. If you do not hear from us continue checking our current openings on a weekly basis and apply to a recruitment that you are interested in.

How to Apply In-Person for Student Labourer

Step 1 - We must be accepting applications for Student Labourer before we will accept your application.

Step 3 - Complete the application form and submit a current resume.

Step 4 - Complete additional forms.

Step 5 - Have a pre-screening interview.

Step 6 - Wait for us to contact you regarding the next step in the hiring process. If you do not hear from us continue checking our current openings on a weekly basis and apply to a recruitment that you are interested in.
