Streets Planning Engineer

Public Works Department

 

 

JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Transportation Facilities Planning Engineer, the Streets Planning Engineer is responsible for preliminary and detailed geometric design services, route and functional planning of new transportation facilities, right-of-way acquisition and disposition, and traffic noise assessment.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
2. Engineer-In-Training or Professional Engineers eligible for registration with
   the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of the
   Province of Manitoba (APEGM).
3. Demonstrated knowledge of geometric design of transportation facilities.
4. Ability to work independently.
5. Strong interpersonal skills including communication, both oral and written,
   formal reporting, problem solving and teamwork skills.
6. Manitoba Class 5 Driver’s License.
