First Aid Services and Ambulance Standby

Winnipeg Emergency Medical Services provides for first aid services and ambulance standbys at a number of different types of events including professional sporting events, marathons and large public gatherings. There is a fee associated with this service; the fee guide is updated annually with all fees subject to approval by City of Winnipeg Council.
Paramedics at these venues are generally required to standby for the care of participants, but may also be involved in treating sick or injured members of the public.
WEMS also supplies ambulances and paramedics to film companies to meet either standby or on screen requirements.
