What should I do if I have suffered an injury and believe the City is at fault?
- Immediately seek whatever medical treatment is necessary.
- Report the claim to the City of Winnipeg without delay (How to File a Claim). There are statutory requirements as to form, process, and time limits (some as short as 7 days) for submitting claims against the City of Winnipeg. You are therefore encouraged to seek legal advice.
- Document your injuries. (examples: photographs, doctor reports, witness information and expenses)
- Please report any unsafe conditions to the City.
