Santa Claus Parade

The Santa Claus Parade combines the magic, wonder and excitement that herald the holiday season and wraps it up in one unique event. A moving panorama of lights, colour and music, it inspires delight in the eyes of children and those who are children at heart.
The Parade honours old family traditions and establishes new ones, evokes familiar memories and creates new favourites. Parade watchers and participants share in the warm joy, strong sense of community pride and hope that the Santa Claus Parade brings.

Teddy Bears’ Picnic |
Join us for the annual Teddy Bears’ Picnic in May, a free event held at Assiniboine Park with fun-filled activities for the whole family! Over 35,000 parents, children and stuffed bears attend this celebration of childhood and child health. All proceeds support the Children’s Hospital Foundation.

Winnipeg Fringe Theatre Festival

This annual celebration of live theatre, showcases over 120 performing companies from near and far presenting comedy, drama, dance and everything in between over 11 jam-packed days. Enjoy great family entertainment at Old Market Square in the historic Exchange District where the Outdoor Stage and new Kids Fringe feature buskers, street performers and bands from noon to midnight daily.
