Dance Manitoba
 |
Dance Manitoba promotes and encourages the development of all forms of dance, supports the preservation of Manitoba’s dance heritage and provides an information resource on dance in Manitoba. They also produce the annual Provincial Dance Festival which runs every year for 2 weeks in May at the Pantages Playhouse Theatre in Winnipeg and features over 800 performances by more than 1500 amateur Manitoba dancers.

Established in 1995, Ruth Cansfield Dance, is committed to advancing contemporary dance through research, performance and education. The company has received commissions that include the National Arts Centre, The Performing Arts Center at SUNY Purchase and The Banff Centre for the Arts. Ruth Cansfield Dance has performed across Canada, including performances at Le festival international de nouvelle danse, L'Agora de la danse and the Canada Dance Festival, as well as in the U.S.
