Requesting a Fee Subsidy
Economically disadvantaged individuals are encouraged to request a fee subsidy to participate in Community Services Department programs and services.
The following Services are eligible for fee subsidies:
- Registered courses
- Drop-in courses (10 visit Active Living passes)
- Facility Admission (10 visit Facility passes)
Please provide a completed application form along with verification of your economic need. Only the following documentation qualifies as verification:
- social assistance case number (including case worker's contact information )
- refugee assistance case number (including case worker's contact information)
- most recent Canada Revenue Agency Notice of Assessment identifying annual family net income
- a monthly statement of income from CPP Disability

Making your request for courses or admissions at City of Winnipeg Pools and/or Fitness & Leisure Centres:
Forward your completed application form along with copies of verifying documents to Registration Support Staff:

All requests must be made in writing. You will be contacted within 10 days of receipt of your request.
Equipment Loan Requests
- Confirm availability of equipment by contacting the Equipment Loans Office as listed on teh Equipment Loan Form
- Provide completed equipment loan form.
- Provide information including location/time/date and any second choice options.
- Where applicable, provide quantity of items requested.

Division staff may contact the applicant to confirm or clarify any information submitted.
Applications must be made prior to registering and paying for a course.
Fee waiver / fee subsidy applicants will be registered if a spot is available when they are approved.
A written response letter/email will be provided to the applicant. |
