Miyâwata Celebrate

Miyâwata

Miyâwata means ‘celebrate’ in Cree and is all about celebrating youth, being healthy, and Aboriginal culture! Miyâwata are gathering places for all youth to have fun and be with friends while taking part in sports, recreation and Aboriginal games, dance and crafts! At Miyâwata, you can talk to Elders and learn new skills from community teachers. All activities are free and friends and family members are encouraged to attend the celebrations! Miyâwata is open to all youth 15 years and over. Come join us for a snack, fun and much more!

Since 2010, youth have paid over 1,000 visits to Miyâwata!
