The Assiniboine Park Duck Pond Picnic Shelter has recently undergone a full reconstruction and is now open to the public!

The new Duck Pond Picnic Shelter features:

• Wheelchair accessible design.
• Energy efficient design.
• Indoor/outdoor visibility using removable glazed walls around the picnic shelter/skate change space.
• Indoor/outdoor lighting.
• Increased natural lighting and space through a raised roof.
• Gas fireplace.
• Accessible drinking fountain.
• Community bulletin board.
• Public address system for special events.
