Voter Information

VOTING BY SEALED ENVELOPE BALLOT

A voter is allowed to vote by Sealed Envelope Ballot if they:

  • are unable to go in person to a voting station
  • expect to be absent from the City on By-Election Day and on the days of Advance Voting

A person must make application to vote by Sealed Envelope Ballot. Application to Vote by Mail (Sealed Envelope Ballot) (Form 12).

Completed applications can be submitted:

  • by mail and forwarded to the Senior Election Official, City Clerk's Department, Council Building, 510 Main Street, Winnipeg, R3B 1B9
  • by fax at 204-947-3452
  • by e-mail to elections@winnipeg.ca
  • in person by attending the City Clerk's Department, Council Building, 510 Main Street

After November 14, 2011, persons making application must make their own arrangements to have the ballot delivered to them.

Sealed Envelope Ballots will be mailed to those persons who make application on or before November 14, 2011.

The deadline for receipt of applications by the Senior Election Official is 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, November 23, 2011.

The voter must return the ballot to the Senior Election Official, City Clerk's Department, Council Building, 510 Main Street, prior to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 26, 2011.
