The 2009 By-Election in the River Heights – Fort Garry Ward and in Winnipeg School Division, Ward 1 held on March 17, 2009, with 7,691 voters casting ballots for the Office of Councillor and 6,401 voters casting ballots for the Office of School Trustee at 18 voting places throughout the two wards. Voter turnout was 22% for the Office of Councillor and 15% for the Office of School Trustee.
