Truck plowing on bus routes and collector streets underway
January 31, 2012 - Due to overnight snowfall in Winnipeg, a truck plowing operation was initiated this morning on the city's Priority II streets. This includes all bus routes and collector streets. Plowing will continue throughout the day and overnight until completed. 
Katz Creates $1.2m fund for Community Centres
January 26, 2012 - Mayor Sam Katz today announced that the City of Winnipeg has created a Community Centre Renovation Grant Program (CCRGP) of nearly $1m so that his pledge to ensure volunteer board-run community centres can access the much needed assistance they require to complete repairs and focus on programming priorities.

January 6, 2012 - The Pan Am Pool & Recreation Complex, 25 Poseidon Bay, will reopen by 3:00 p.m. today, after a water main break on Cambridge Street between Lorette Avenue and Carter Avenue was repaired early this afternoon.
