WINNIPEG - January 23, 2009 - Sargent Avenue just east of Empress Street will be closed to all traffic for approximately seven weeks beginning Sunday, January 25, 2009, to allow replacement of the culvert bridging Omand’s Creek at this location.
311 - Winnipeg at Your Service
WINNIPEG - January 16, 2009 - The City of Winnipeg’s 311 consolidated Contact Centre officially opened today. Open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, the Centre will operate Winnipeg’s new citizen inquiry service, designed to provide citizens with the opportunity to ask questions about, or to request any non-emergency city service at their convenience.
Major Snowfall Parking Ban Lifted
WINNIPEG - January 9, 2009 - The City of Winnipeg wishes to advise motorists that the Major Snowfall Parking Ban on Snow Routes was lifted at 6:01 a.m. today, January 9, 2009.
Kenaston Snow Disposal Site will be closed to the Public for the Season on Friday, January 9, 2009 at 12:00 p.m. to aid Major Snow Hauling Operation
WINNIPEG - January 8, 2009 - The public is advised that effective at noon on Friday, January 9, 2009, the Kenaston Snow Disposal Site, located on the west side of Kenaston Boulevard, between McGillivray Boulevard and Wilkes Avenue, will be closed to public for the season.
Residential Parking Ban tickets issued on January 5 from midnight to 6:00 a.m. to be cancelled
WINNIPEG - January 7, 2009 - The Winnipeg Parking Authority advises that it has requested, and the Provincial Crown Attorney’s Office has agreed, to enter stays of proceedings against the tickets issued under the Residential Overnight Parking Ban from midnight to 6:00 a.m. on January 5, 2009.

Residential Overnight Parking Ban to take effect tonight at midnight
WINNIPEG - January 4, 2009 - The public is advised that plowing of residential streets will begin at 7:00 p.m. today. To aid plowing operations, the Residential Overnight Parking Ban has been declared effective Sunday night, January 4, 2009 at midnight.
Truck plowing on main routes, bus routes and collector streets completed
WINNIPEG - January 2, 2009 - The public is advised that a truck plowing operation that started early New Year’s Day on main routes, bus routes and collector streets has been completed. Sanding of streets will continue around-the-clock to improve traction on the roadway and plowing of sidewalks on main routes began yesterday.
