Millennium Library to Close for Watermain Renewal on November 10, 2008

On Monday, November 10, the Millennium Library will be closed to the public. The building’s water supply will be turned off to allow workers to complete the watermain renewal along Donald Street. (for more details, please read the full media release below)

WINNIPEG - November 3, 2008 – On Monday, November 10, the Millennium Library will be closed to the public. The building’s water supply will be turned off to allow workers to complete the watermain renewal along Donald Street.

All Millennium Library tours, class visits, and programs will be cancelled on that date.  All community groups who have booked meeting space or tutorial rooms will be advised of the closure.  The Library will make the required adjustments to due dates, hold dates and computer bookings.

During the closure, the public will have access to the lobby of the Millennium Library and the skywalk. The Library’s two book return chutes will remain open.

The Millennium Library, along with all other branches, will also be closed for Remembrance Day on Tuesday, November 11.  The Millennium Library will reopen to the public on Wednesday, November 12 at 10:00 a.m.
