Westwood Library Temporarily Closed for Construction

Winnipeg Public Library’s Westwood branch, located at 66 Allard Avenue is temporarily closed for demolition and reconstruction work on the front stairs, concrete pad and ramp. The Library wishes to advise patrons that the closure has been extended; the branch is now scheduled to reopen on Monday, October 6 at 10:00 a.m. (for more details, please read the full media release below)

WINNIPEG - September 17, 2008 – The Westwood Library, located at 66 Allard Avenue, is temporarily closed for demolition and reconstruction work on the front stairs, concrete pad and ramp. The Library wishes to advise patrons that the closure has been extended; the branch is now scheduled to reopen on Monday, October 6 at 10:00 a.m.

The book return chute is not available during construction. Returns can be dropped off at any of the 19 other branches in the system.

Although items can be renewed online at any time, the loan periods for items borrowed from the Westwood Library have been changed so that no materials are due during the closure. All materials being held for users of the Westwood Library are available for pickup at St. James-Assiniboia Library, 1910 Portage Avenue.
