The City of Winnipeg advises that the Millennium Library is temporarily closed to the public today, July 30, 2008 and tomorrow, July 31, 2008, due to a water main break. All library book chutes are open for dropping off materials, 24 hours per day and materials can be renewed by telephone at 311 or online at winnipeg.ca/library. WINNIPEG - July 30, 2008 The City of Winnipeg advises that the Millennium Library is temporarily closed to the public today, July 30, 2008 and tomorrow, July 31, 2008, due to a water main break. Based on the nature of the repairs, water service is expected to be restored to the library on Friday, August 1, 2008.

The Millennium Library’s telephone information service (311) is operational. Regular library services are available at 19 other locations. The branches closest to downtown are: St. Boniface (131 Provencher Boulevard), West End (823 Ellice Avenue) and Cornish (20 West Gate). Library users are encouraged to check on library business hours by calling 311 or by visiting the Library Services Web site at winnipeg.ca/library. All library book chutes are open for dropping off materials, 24 hours per day and materials can be renewed by telephone at 311 or online at winnipeg.ca/library.
