MEDIA RELEASE:

WINNIPEG January 02, 2008 - The south curb lane on James Avenue between King Street and Main Street is closed today for a repair of a water main break. The lane closure will continue through the afternoon rush hour. Motorists traveling in this direction are encouraged to allow extra time for their journey or to use alternate routes when possible.

Although the water will be turned off this afternoon at 510 Main Street, City Hall remains open and cashier services are available until 4:30 p.m. as usual.

Water has been turned off to the Mandarin Building at 185 King Street.

City crews expect to complete the repair later today and restore water to the affected buildings.
