Seven Oaks Pool to reopen October 9, 2007
WINNIPEG - September 28, 2007 - The City of Winnipeg has adjusted the reopening date for the Seven Oaks Swimming Pool at 444 Adsum Drive from the original planned date of September 29, 2007 to Tuesday, October 9, 2007.

WINNIPEG - September 28, 2007 - Put your autumn leaves to good use by recycling them. Starting October 1, 2007, you can recycle your leaves by dropping them off at one of the ten Leaf It With Us Depots listed below. We’ll compost them into a reusable soil-like material.
Cindy Klassen Recreation Complex closes for planned renovations on Saturday, September 29, 2007
WINNIPEG - September 27, 2007 - The Cindy Klassen Recreation Complex at 999 Sargent Avenue will close on Saturday, September 29, 2007 at 6:30 p.m. The Complex is anticipated to re-open to the public in early January 2008.
Temporary lane closure - Eastbound Portage Avenue at Fort Street
WINNIPEG - September 25, 2007 - On Tuesday, September 25, 2007, two lanes of traffic will be temporarily closed on eastbound Portage Avenue at Fort Street to accommodate Hydro repairs on two manholes in the intersection. It is expected the lane closures will remain in effect until Friday, September 28, 2007.

Louise Bridge to close for routine maintenance
WINNIPEG - September 21, 2007 - The Louise Bridge will be closed starting Saturday, September 22, 2007 at 6:00 a.m. to Monday September 24, at 6:00 a.m. The closure is required to complete planned maintenance repairs to the bridge.
Elm Bark Beetle Control Program expanded
WINNIPEG - September 20, 2007 - On Friday, September 21, 2007, weather permitting, the City of Winnipeg's Insect Control Branch will expand its elm bark beetle control program to include American elm trees on city boulevards. Over the next three weeks, crews will treat boulevard American elm trees in high priority areas along certain streets in Insect Management Areas 10, 11, 29, 30, 31, 33, 40, 47, and 50. Spraying of trees will occur between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday.
