Food service establishment closures and convictions semi-annual summary

WINNIPEG - May 15, 2007 – In keeping with Council direction, the City’s Environmental Health Services Branch today issued the semi-annual summary on all convictions and closures issued under the Food Service Establishment By-Law No. 5160-89 for the previous six months.

Citizens are also encouraged to visit Winnipeg.ca/diners to view the latest information regarding food handling establishments which have been convicted or closed under public health legislation and by-laws over the past year. The site also includes separate information regarding establishments which have had to close for reasons beyond the control of management, such as a fire or flood.
