Two more municipal golf courses set to open

WINNIPEG - April 19, 2007- The City of Winnipeg’s municipal golf courses welcome golfers of all ages and skill levels as they begin their 2007 golf season.

Windsor Park Golf Course (10 Des Meurons, Phone 311) will open Friday April 20, 2007.

Crescent Drive Golf Course (781 Crescent Drive , Phone 311) will open Saturday April 21, 2007

Golfers are reminded that the following golf courses opened last week and are accepting reservations:

• John Blumberg Golf Course - 4540 Portage Avenue, Phone: 311
• Harbour View Golf Course & Recreation Complex - 1867 Springfield Road, Phone: 204-222-2751
• Kildonan Park Golf Course - 2021 Main Street, Phone 311

With daytime highs predicted to reach 22 degrees Celsius, it’s shaping up to be a perfect weekend to get outside and celebrate spring on the golf course!

Note to players: The earliest tee times will vary each day according to overnight temperatures. To avoid frost damage, daily play will not be permitted until conditions are favourable.
