WINNIPEG February 5, 2007 - With much sadness, the City of Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service is releasing the names of the members who were fallen or injured as a result of the tragic fire last night at 15 Gabrielle Roy Place. They are as follows:

Fallen Firefighters

Thomas Nichols, age 57
Captain, Platoon 3 Station 2
32 years service

Harold Lessard, age 55
Captain, Platoon 3 Station 1
31 years service

Injured Firefighters

Edward Wiebe, age 51
Senior Firefighter, Platoon 3 Station 1
18 years service

Lionel Crowther, age 33
Firefighter, Platoon 2 Station 1
6 years service

Darcy Funk, age 35
Firefighter, Platoon 2 Station 25
8 years service

Scott Atchison, age 33
Firefighter, Platoon 3 Station 1
