WFPS collecting toys for children

MEDIA RELEASE:

WINNIPEG December 11, 2006 - Retired and active members of the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) are assisting the Salvation Army in collecting 7,000 new toys for underprivileged children.

Drop-off boxes are available in all WFPS stations for citizens who wish to donate toys for children.

In addition, the Fire Prevention Branch of WFPS will be making a presentation to the Salvation Army toy mountain this afternoon at 1:00 p.m., Fire Prevention Branch, 604 St. Mary’s Road. Media are invited to attend.
