Update on snow plowing activities and City services

NEWS @ A GLANCE:
City crews have been mobilized to address today’s snowfall event. Bridges and regional streets (main routes) have been salted throughout the day. Truck plowing operations on Priority I/II streets (regional streets, bus routes and collector streets) will commence at 7:00 p.m. this evening, and continue around the clock until completed. Street and sidewalk conditions will be reassessed once the snowfall has stopped to determine what is required regarding further snow clearing activities.Winnipeg Transit is currently running a Medium General Service Delay. All routes are operating, but individual buses may experience delays of up to 19 minutes. Please call 311, or visit www.winnipegtransit.com for more information. Winnipeg Transit
Winnipeg Transit is currently running a Medium General Service Delay. All routes are operating, but individual buses may experience delays of up to 19 minutes. Please call 311, or visit www.winnipegtransit.com for more information.
Snow Dumps Open
Contractors engaged in snow clearing activities are advised that five City Snow Dumps are open. These locations will be open 24 hours per day. Snow dump locations are as follows:
- McPhillips Snow Dump – Located 1 ¼ km south of the perimeter on the east side of McPhillips Avenue
- Ravelston Snow Dump – Located on the south side of Ravelston Avenue 1 km west of Plesiss Road
- South End Pollution Control Centre Snow Dump – Located on the south side of the Perimeter Highway, east of St Mary’s Road
- Kenaston Snow Dump – Located on the west side of Kenaston Blvd between McGilllivray Blvd. and Wilkes Avenue
- Charleswood Lagoon Snow Dump – Located on the south side of Wilkes, west of the Perimeter
- Please note that the Highwood Snow Dump off Saskatchewan Avenue will be closed this winter
