WINNIPEG December 9, 2005 - Harbour View Golf Course and Recreation Complex has completed its annual transformation into a winter wonderland, and the public is invited to come out and enjoy a variety of free, fun, family activities. Tobogganing is always very popular, as is skating on the large outdoor pond, playing broomball, or going cross-country skiing. The facility is open from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily throughout the winter. Equipment rentals are also available.
Once you’ve worked up an appetite and taken in the fresh air, the Harbour View restaurant will offer you a range of food and beverage selections to satisfy your meal or snack cravings. The restaurant is open all winter from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily. The on-site banquet hall can host everything from a business meeting or birthday party to weddings and corporate Christmas parties.
A highlight of the winter season at Harbour View is the New Year’s Eve celebration. This is a great opportunity to enjoy a fun-filled evening with family and friends in a quaint fishing village setting. Your night includes a buffet dinner, party favours, a champagne midnight toast, a post-midnight snack and dancing music all evening. Tickets are only $32.50 per person.
While you’re at Harbour View for the winter wonderland, inquire about winter golf lessons. Why not learn the basics of the game or sharpen your skills in heated indoor comfort with instruction from one of the resident CPGA Golf Professionals. Sessions run through February and March at Harbour View, the Fort Rouge Leisure Centre and the Norwood Community Centre.
