WINNIPEG November 17, 2005 - Today was Day 2 on the five-day cycle. The majority of homes with Day 2 collection were serviced today, as well as the Day 1 homes that we couldn’t service yesterday.
The priority tomorrow (Friday) will be to finish collecting from Day 2 homes and begin servicing Day 3 homes.
Snow clearing crews could be in the Day 5 area tonight. Residents of Day 5 homes that weren’t serviced should take their garbage and recyclable materials back in to prevent them from getting buried in snow, and place them out on their next regularly scheduled collection day – Tuesday, November 22.
Recycling and garbage collection was suspended on Tuesday (Day 5) due to heavy snowfall.
