Operating hours for city facilities, Labor Day weekend

All civic offices will be closed on Monday, September 5th, 2005. Additional information on City services is provided below.
Winnipeg Transit – Labor Day Service
Monday, September 5th Winnipeg Transit will be operating on a Sunday schedule.

Libraries:
All libraries are closed Monday, September 5th.
St. James, St. Boniface and Sir William Stephenson Libraries are open regular hours on Saturday, September 3rd.
Zoo:
Open 9:00 am – 7:00 pm daily.
Conservatory:
Open 9:00 am – 8:00 pm daily.
Pools:
All indoor pools are closed on Monday, September 5th, except Sargent Park Complex, which is open 11:00 am – 4:00 pm. Regular hours are in effect for all indoor pools on Saturday, September 3rd and Sunday, September 4th.
Please note the following indoor pool closures for maintenance purposes:
Pan Am Pool (Aug 27 – Oct 7), North Centennial Pool (Aug 28 – Sept 24), St. James Civic Centre (Sept 4 – Sept 29) and Bonivital Pool (Sept 6- Oct 3). To access information on the indoor pools, citizens can call the pool hotline at 311 (311) or visit the City of Winnipeg Web site (Winnipeg.ca).
Leisure Centres:
All Leisure Centres are closed on Monday, September 5th. Regular hours are in effect on Saturday, September 3rd and Sunday, September 4th. Please see the Leisure Guide or visit the City of Winnipeg Web site (Winnipeg.ca) for Leisure Centre schedules.
Water and Waste Department
No Recycling/Garbage Collection on Monday, September 5, 2005
Recycling and garbage will not be collected on the Labour Day Holiday, Monday, September 5, 2005. Collection will resume on Tuesday, September 6, 2005 – Day 2 on the five-day cycle.
This affects only those homes on the five-day collection calendar for garbage and recycling. Collection for all others (i.e., apartments) will continue as normally scheduled.

Hours of operation for the Brady Road Landfill during the holiday weekend:
- Saturday, September 3 - 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Sunday, September 4 - 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Monday, September 5 - 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
