WINNIPEG - June 28, 2005 - All civic offices will be closed on Friday, July 1, 2005.

Community Services
Libraries:
All libraries are closed on Friday, July 1. Regular hours will be in effect on Saturday, July 2.
Zoo:
Open daily from 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Free Admission for Mayor’s Family Day at the Zoo on July 1st.
Conservatory:
Open daily from 9:00 am. – 8:00 p.m.
Leisure Centres: All Leisure Centres will be closed on Friday, July 1. Regular hours will be in effect on Saturday, July 2 and Sunday, July 3. Please see the Leisure Guide or visit our Web site for Leisure Centre schedules at winnipeg.ca.
Swimming Pools:
All indoor pools will be closed on Friday, July 1, except Pan Am Pool. Pan Am Pool will be open 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Regular hours will be in effect for all indoor pools on Saturday, July 2 and Sunday, July 3.Weather permitting, all outdoor pools, except Fort Garry Lions (969 Dowker), Windsor Park (Jogues & Cottonwood) and St. Vital (5 Des Meurons), will be open. Hours vary, however, most outdoor pools will be open from 12:00 noon to 7:00 p.m.
Wading Pools: Weather permitting, the following 17 wading pools will be open on Friday, July 1: Amherst Park, Brock Cordova Park, Bronx Park, Central Park, Dakota Water Park, Home Playground, Keenleyside Park, Kildonan Park, Machray Park, McKittrick Park, Northwood Community Centre Pascoe Park, Pirates Park, Provencher Park, Robert A. Steen Memorial Community Centre, St. Charles Park and Westdale Pool.
Hours vary, however, most will be open from 11:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. The regular season schedule will be in effect July 2nd. For schedule information, please call 311 for pools in the South & West Areas; 311 for pools in the City Centre Area and 311 for pools in the North & East areas. Recycling and garbage will not be collected on Canada Day, Friday, July 1, 2005.
This affects only those homes on the 5-day collection calendar for garbage and recycling. Collection for all others (i.e., apartments) will continue as normally scheduled.

Hours of operation for the Brady Road Landfill during the holiday weekend:
- Friday, July 1 - 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Saturday, July 2 - 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Sunday, July 3 - 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
