City services information for March 25 - 28, 2005

WINNIPEG - March 22, 2005 - All civic offices will be closed on Friday, March 25th and Monday, March 28th.

Community Services

Libraries:
All Libraries are closed on Friday, March 25 and Monday, March 28. All libraries are open Saturday, March 26, except the Cityplace location.

Zoo:
Open 10:00 am – 6:00 pm Friday, March 25, Saturday, March 26 and Sunday, March 27. The Zoo is open 10:00 am – 4:00 pm on Monday, March 28.

Conservatory:
Open 9:00 am – 4:30 pm daily.

Swimming Pools:
All pools are closed on Friday, March 25 except Pan Am Pool. Pan Am Pool is open 11:00 am – 4:00 pm. Regular hours of operation are in effect for all pools on Saturday, March 26 and Sunday, March 27. Pan Am, Seven Oaks, Elmwood Kildonan, Sargent Park, St. James-Assiniboia Centennial and Bonivital pools are open on Monday, March 28 from 12:00 – 4:00.

Leisure Centres:
All Leisure Centres are closed Friday, March 25 and Monday, March 28. Regular hours of operation are in effect on Saturday and Sunday.

Water and Waste Department

No recycling/garbage collection during the Easter holidays

Recycling and garbage will not be collected on Good Friday, Friday, March 25 and Monday, March 28, 2005. Collection will resume on Tuesday, March 29, 2005 – Day 1 on the five-day cycle.

Hours of operation for the Brady Road Landfill during the Easter holiday weekend:
Good Friday, March 25 6:00 am – 6:00 pm
Saturday, March 26 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
Sunday, March 27 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Monday, March 28 6:00 am – 6:00 pm

Winnipeg Transit

Friday, March 25th, Winnipeg Transit will operate on a Sunday schedule.
Monday, March 28th, Winnipeg Transit will operate on a Regular schedule with the exception of the following service adjustments:

• Route 21 Portage Express - reduced AM and PM rush hours
• Route 24 Ness Express - reduced AM and PM rush hours
• Route 41 Henderson Express - Glenway service cancelled. Sun Valley service will operate.
• Route 46 Transcona Express - service cancelled.
