William Avenue closed to traffic

WINNIPEG - May 14, 2004 - William Avenue from just west of Sherbrook Street to the Health Sciences Centre Parking Lot entrance, will be closed to all through traffic from 6 am, Monday, May 17 to 4 pm, Saturday, May 22, to allow disassembly of the construction crane at the Health Sciences Centre expansion project.

Access for vehicles to the Childrens Hospital Emergency Entrance and sidewalk access to the Community Services Building on the north side of William will be maintained from Sherbrook.

Access to the Health Sciences Centre entrance, parking lots, and Canadian Blood Services will be maintained from the west side of the closure.

Transit routes normally using this stretch of William Avenue will be re-routed to McDermot Avenue between Sherbrook and Tecumseh Street.
