City Holds Memorial Service for Peace FridayWINNIPEG - SEPTEMBER 13, 2001 - All citizens and media are invited to join Mayor Glen Murray and his colleagues on City Council, representatives from the federal and provincial governments, spiritual leaders from the community, and civic staff for a Memorial Service for Peace, to show our support for the victims and their families south of the border.

We will make a Commemorative Book available for people to sign which will be delivered to New York and Washington on behalf of Winnipeggers.
Prime Minister Jean Chretien has declared Friday a National Day of Mourning.
