Dan Halldorson Golf Clinic - Open to the Public Saturday, August 18, 2001 at Kildonan Park Golf Course, 2021 Main StreetWINNIPEG - AUGUST 14, 2001 - The Grand Final rounds of the 79th annual Municipal Golf Tournament will be played on Saturday and Sunday, August 18 & 19, 2001, at the Kildonan Park Golf Course. The public is invited to come and watch some of the City’s best public course golfers compete for the title of municipal champion. Players tee off between 6:30 and 10:30 am on Saturday and Sunday. In addition to showcasing some great competition, this year’s Grand Final will feature a number of exciting events. These include:
- A Free Golf Clinic: Former PGA Tour Professional Dan Halldorson, recognized as one of the most accomplished golfers to ever come out of Manitoba, will be at Kildonan Park Golf Course on Saturday, August 18, 2001 to offer a free Golf Clinic. The clinic will run from 6:00 – 7:00 pm. It’s open to the public and there is no charge for admission. Come on out and learn some valuable tips from a pro!
- Exhibition Round: Want to see how a pro applies those clinic techniques to an actual round of golf? As a follow-up to Saturday’s golf clinic, Dan Halldorson will join tournament guests in an exhibition round beginning at 11:00 am on Sunday, August 19, 2001 at Kildonan Park Golf Course. Plan to follow Dan’s foursome to see how they perform.
- Jazz Golf Equipment Demo Day: This year’s municipal Golf Tournament Grand Final event will feature a Jazz Golf Equipment Demo Day. The public is invited to try out the latest in Jazz Golf equipment at Kildonan Park Golf Course on Saturday, August 18, 2001 between 1:00 and 5:00 pm. This is a unique opportunity for both new and accomplished golfers to experience swinging some of the latest technology available in the golf market today.
