Wastewater projects
To protect public health, property and the environment, we have had a pollution control program for wastewater since the 1930s. Since that time, we have built new treatment plants and invested over $200 million upgrading existing plants to meet the demands of a growing population and changing environmental standards.
The Province of Manitoba has introduced tough new requirements to improve the health of Lake Winnipeg. We expect to spend over a billion dollars over the next 25 years to expand capacity and upgrade our wastewater treatment systems.
We want to inform you about the upgrades and hear your comments and concerns.
