Where can I take the Candidate Physical Fitness Evaluation?
Testing will be scheduled by the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service with the University of Manitoba Physical Education Department. Applicants will only be scheduled for this testing if they are successful through Steps 1 and 2 written assessments of the recruitment process. This assessment is a pass or fail and applicants will only be given one attempt. Testing must be current and have been completed within the previous six (6) months. For more information please review the Winnipeg Fire Physical Fitness Evaluation or the Winnipeg Paramedic Physical Fitness Evaluation Winnipeg Fire Service Assessments or Winnipeg Paramedic Physical Fitness Assessment.
Do you accept the Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT)?
As of April 27, 2007, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service adopted a new job related physical fitness standard for all recruits - the Candidate Physical Fitness Evaluation. The Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service will no longer be accepting CPAT as an alternative physical test. All applicants will have to successfully complete the testing administered by the University of Manitoba.
